Rooted in Fort Greene's community of movers and creatives, we are entering an exciting phase of growth and are seeking a Director of Operations to help steward the next chapter of that vision.

About the Role

Fort Pilates is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operational health of all studio locations. This role is responsible for consistency, efficiency, and service standards across the business, and serves as the primary operational link between studio-level staff and ownership.

The Director of Operations leads our Studio Managers, owns company-wide sales and revenue targets, and manages the systems that keep the business running smoothly. This is a full-time, in-studio, client-facing role. This role also plays a key part in shaping the strategic direction of the business — developing and executing strategies to grow and diversify revenue streams across our services and offerings.

Scope of the Role

  • Studio Operations — Oversee daily operations, service standards, and studio presentation across all locations

  • Team Management — Hire, train, and support studio managers and studio staff

  • Instructor Support — Manage scheduling, onboarding, and instructor-client continuity

  • Sales & Revenue — Own company-wide revenue targets and growth strategy

  • Marketing & CRM — Manage lead marketing efforts using Klaviyo, Mindbody, and social channels

  • Partnerships — Develop partnerships and strategy to create a wider network

  • Purchasing & Inventory — Manage vendor relationships, supply ordering, and retail inventory

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience managing a service-based business, preferably in fitness, wellness, or hospitality

  • Experience managing a team of 3 or more, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management

  • Proficiency with booking/scheduling software (Mindbody or equivalent strongly preferred)

  • Experience with payroll processing and working alongside accounting professionals

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple locations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort with project management tools (Monday.com or equivalent)

  • Experience with lead marketing platforms Klaviyo or equivalent

  • Ability to operate independently in a small-business environment

  • A genuine passion for people, and a drive to contribute to the growth and success of the business

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $90,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience

  • Performance bonus: Quarterly, tied to company-wide revenue targets
