Why I practice:

Why I practice: I began my own Pilates practice to help sustain my career in dance and choreography, seeing it as a practical and therapeutic form of cross-training to warm up the body, build strength and stability, and maintain balance for the demands of an active career. I was surprised by how quickly this practice works, and since then I've seen its value in so many other areas of my life, from daily maintenance and functionality (like speeding up the subway stairs), to creating a sense of routine and calm

Why I teach:

I teach because I’m passionate about helping clients build a clear and more joyful relationship to their own bodies. Having a movement practice that feels both enjoyable and focused can change the way someone relates to themselves, and I love finding the cues, patterns, and explanations that make sense for each person. My goal is always to support clients in building an appreciation for what their bodies can do.

What to expect in my class:

In my classes, we focus on form and breathwork while moving through functional, challenging sequences that wake up and heat the whole body. We move through a balanced flow that incorporates strengthening, stretching, twisting, and stabilizing, always with progressions and variations so that everyone can work from where they are.
