Why I practice:
Being a recovering perfectionist, I look for movement that does not need a specific aesthetic or ask for hours in front of a mirror. After years of dancing and generally existing like all other humans, my body needs realignment and intentional strengthening to combat the imbalances put upon it. My Pilates practice does all of this as well as focuses my mind, finds space in the tight places, and consistently challenges my body.
Why I teach:
I love being a resource for people as they find movement that feels good in their bodies and helps to ease the wear-and-tear of everyday life. Whether they are recovering from an injury or preventing one from ever happening, everyone deserves a supportive, encouraging guide through this process. I teach others to find the ease in the movement, the enjoyment in dedicated time for oneself, and the confidence to live life fully.
What to expect in my class:
In my alignment-focused classes you will use breath to connect your mind and body while tapping to the many muscles that surround and stabilize your joints.
