Why I practice:

I discovered Pilates in college while rehabbing a knee/hip injury from dance. It changed my life by empowering me to learn more about my body’s functional movement, allowing me to take control of my own injury rehab and prevention. I have been practicing ever since. Pilates gives me a stronger understanding of where my body is each day and how it evolves. With consistent practice, I feel physically and mentally more capable, calm, grounded, and open.

Why I teach:

I teach because I strongly believe that movement is for everyone and Pilates allows me to share a compassionate movement practice with others! I encourage my clients to focus on honoring and respecting where their bodies are that day, while also challenging themselves to approach movement with curiosity for what they are capable of.

What to expect in my class:

Focusing on breath, mind body connection, and alignment, my classes explore functional movement while layering onto exercises so that you get the challenge that is right for you.
