Why I Practice:

Pilates both empowers and humbles me on a daily basis. It teaches me to slow down and listen to my body, but also challenges me to test my growing strength, mobility and integration. After an entire life of training in dance, Pilates has offered more concrete, but also mysterious (almost magical!) ways to support my movement-based lifestyle. There is always more to learn and I can safely say that I will be practicing Pilates for the rest of my life.

Why I Teach:

I teach Pilates with a body positive and inclusive approach. I believe that all bodies deserve the opportunity to move beyond aches and pains or insecurities toward a more empowered and loving relationship to themselves. I allow the client’s goals to direct our sessions and encourage them to listen to the nuance and daily shifts in their alignment to enhance their mind-body awareness. Whether they are working through injury prevention or rehabilitation or simply want to tone certain areas of their body, our ongoing dialogue will facilitate their progress. Ultimately I intend to help my clients to find joy, strength, mobility and a sense of accomplishment in movement.
