Why I practice:
Pilates offers me a unique space for self-reflection and embodied awareness. Working from a mostly horizontal plane, I become aware of how I can work with and against gravity to find pathways and patterns of movement that support me in my vertical plane life! My Pilates practice has supported me coming out of injury, surgery in addition to helping me train for athletic dance work. My practice changes and grows with me.
Why I teach:
A pilates practice requires dedication, consistency, critical thinking, problem solving and mindful movement. As a person invested in movement research, I am continuously interested in and excited to support students wanting to build out their pilates routine. I work to provide a playful, energetic and challenging space for people’s pilates practice.
What to expect in my class:
My classes are athletic, focusing on jumping into the movement and building up a sense of breath and alignment along the way. Expect a playful atmosphere and a targeted work out.
